Blues Junction's roots are in Rhythm and Blues, and the repertoire includes numbers from Jimmy Reed, Ray Charles, Wilson Pickett, Muddy Waters and other well-known blues and soul artists. To this is added a mixture of Jazz, with material from the likes of Art Blakey, Herbie Hancock and Georgie Fame, and some old fashioned rock 'n roll, including Little Richard, Elvis and the Rolling Stones. Finally, the mixture is blended with more modern material from artists such as Van Morrison, and a good helping of Swing in the style of Brian Setzer and the Cherry Poppin' Daddies. The band also write their own original material. This mixture is stirred well and cooked to produce a unique blend of swinging, vibrant music that will provide an enjoyable evening's entertainment for all - whether for dances, concerts, functions or other events. See below for details of the musicians and music samples. |
